Press Release (7/29/19): NCAPER Announces New Committee Co-Chair

ATLANTA, GA July 29, 2019-The Steering Committee of the National Coalition for Arts Preparedness and Emergency Response (NCAPER) is pleased to announce the election of Barbara Davis, COO of The Actors Fund, as its newest Co-Chair. Davis begins her role immediately, replacing Mollie Quinlan-Hayes, Deputy Director of Programs at South Arts, and joins current Co-Chair Ruby Lopez Harper, Director of Local Arts Services for Americans for the Arts.


Davis has been with The Actors Fund since 1984. As Chief Operating Officer, she oversees the intersection of administration, finance, advancement and programs including social services, health care, workforce development for The Fund’s three offices in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and at its supportive housing residencies in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and West Hollywood, as well as at the assisted-living and nursing care home in New Jersey.


“As the Coalition supports the building of resilience within the arts sector for improved disaster service delivery systems that are responsive to artists, arts & cultural organizations, and arts businesses, NCAPER is very fortunate to continue its legacy of strong leadership with the addition of Barbara Davis, as co-chair.
